WILL BE WORSHIPED

Today's YouVersion's verse of the day is Zechariah 14.9 NLT, "And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one LORD - his name alone will be worshiped."

Let that sink in for a moment. Jesus will be king... the only king. God will be worshiped... the only one worshiped. Can you picture that? Imagine our Savior descending from above in unimaginable splendor and glory. All the business of the world will stop. All of the huge concerns and fears that fill our lives and news channels will become completely irrelevant. All the division and groups and labels will fade. And for a brief moment there will be a surge of energy as world rises to our feet, fixes our eyes on Jesus, and worships Him.

So how does this knowledge of the future change our present? First, knowing what is to come gives us focus on how we live today. And second, imagining how we will worship should inspire how we do worship. Take a moment, think on this prophetic verse. Allow this it to encourage you to worship God from a new place in a new way.
