Family Democracy

Once in a family discussion, my wife and I were sharing updated rules with our kids regarding their phone devices. One of our kids who wasn’t very excited about our updated rules protested, “This should be a democracy!” I replied, “It is and you are not old enough to vote.”

How many times do we find ourselves asking, demanding, or begging God to allow our desires to count in His plan for our life. Compared to God, our vote and understanding is so limited. We should trust God’s vote for our life.
 

Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”
